The Trans Community and the Trust

The Psychosynthesis Trust logo with the Pride colours imposed over it.

In light of the recent news and Supreme Court ruling, we wanted to affirm that we have a long tradition of welcoming members of GSRD (Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity) communities, with many esteemed colleagues, graduates and current students.

Naturally, we continue to welcome Trans, Gender Curious, Non-binary, and Intersex people as members of our communities.

Our position has always been; that psychosynthesis is, at core, nondual and inclusive.

The Trust commits to eliminate direct discrimination and to recognise and address indirect discrimination.

Please see our policy document ‘Intersectionality, Equal Opportunities and Discrimination’ which you can find on our website here

The Psychosynthesis Trust recognises that in our society, groups and individuals have been, and continue to be, discriminated against on the basis of race, class, gender, gender reassignment, disability, religious and political belief, sexuality, age, marital or civil partnership status.

We will always investigate matters of discrimination.  Our teaching holds intersectionality as fundamental to understanding our intersecting identities, and is integral to the work of counselling and psychotherapy.

We recognise that the Counselling and Psychotherapy profession, and in particular Psychosynthesis, has an under-representation of key groups of people, and actively seeks to address this imbalance in all areas of our work.
