Whether it’s putting your personal development skills from Essentials and Foundations to use, training to become a psychotherapist or counsellor, or developing as a supervisor, many professional pathways are open to Psychosynthesis Trust graduates.

Professional Pathways Opportunities

For personal development graduates of Essentials & Foundations courses

These are both entry points for our counselling course and self development. Graduates and participants have found that these courses additionally support their interpersonal skills in all areas of their lives.

For graduates of our Becoming a Counsellor – Postgraduate Diploma course

Our graduates work in across different settings, from the NHS, charities and organisations, schools, colleges and universities, both working clinically or in teaching roles across our industry. Many of our graduates are in private practice, where they have the autonomy to decide their own working patterns.

For graduates of our Advanced Studies and Advanced Diploma courses

As above, our graduates work successfully across many different platforms. The additional layer of depth work, supports a deeper understanding of working collaboratively across professional support networks, as graduates hold a deeper understanding of psychopathology.

Train as a Supervisor on our Diploma in Supervision course

Working as a supervisor expands the variety of work, as supervisors are not only gatekeepers, but also support the growth and depth of work.

Opportunities exist in joining:

Our Student Placement Service (SPS), with a minimum of 3 years post graduate qualification
As a Training Supervisor, within our training team, with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, subject to openings and interview.

We prefer to recruit supervisors and trainers from within a psychosynthesis qualification, and from the Trust graduate pool. Exceptions exist as we build the field from previously disadvantaged groups of people, as we develop a more diverse training team, which fully represents the diversity our local population.

Continuing Professional Development

Graduates from across all of our courses, and those from non-psychosynthesis backgrounds, are welcome to join the Trust’s CPD workshops, running throughout the year. Find out more through our events calendar.
