Vision and Values
The Psychosynthesis Trust exists to reveal wholeness through helping people to awaken to who they really are.
The Trust’s Vision
To see a world in which the needs of humanity are addressed in a way that is spiritual and pragmatic; in which there is recognition for the importance of the soul in psychology; in which the soul is renewed in everyday life for individuals, families, groups, organisations, and society.
The Trust’s Values
Our values are Love, Inquiry, Responsibility and Will.
Love
Some ways in which we seek to embody the value of Love include: being orientated to purpose and service;
being compassionate and having empathy; valuing the contribution of others, past and present; balancing self-care with the whole's need.
Inquiry
Some ways in which we seek to embody the value of Inquiry include: checking our assumptions; thinking reflexively;
remaining open to change;
valuing the ‘arc of inquiry’
(thought, question, reflection, action); valuing diversity and difference.
Responsibility
Some ways in which we seek to embody the value of Responsibility include:
having awareness of the impact of one’s actions and behaviours;
embracing conflict as a generative opportunity for growth; practising self-care and centering one’s self; owning and learning from ‘mistakes’ as a process of development and becoming.
Will
Some ways in which we seek to embody the value of Will include: choosing how we respond to being alive;
seeing context, connected to higher purpose, role modelling;
celebrating success;
having an intention;
practising boundaried behaviour; taking responsibility for how we live.
