Innerdance – an experiential introduction
31 August 2024 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
£75 – £150Join Caroline Georgiou for this in-person personal development workshop allowing participants to explore sound healing and energy.
Workshop purpose:
innerdance is a non-invasive and powerful self-healing modality using sound and touch to achieve an altered state of consciousness between waking and dreaming, with reported experiences similar to plant-medicine journeys. Discovered 17 years ago by Pi through his own profound spiritual awakening, innerdance is evolving, fast becoming a global phenomenon currently being practiced within a variety of settings including health-care and psychiatry, prison systems, schools and within local communities, with consistently transformational results being reported which include a decrease in anxiety and depression, increased cerebral capacity and attention span, restored sleep patterns and a return to well-being.
This introductory one-day workshop is an opportunity to experience the innerdance process in a small and safe group setting supported by a trained facilitator and experienced counsellor, journeying with two different soundscapes whilst gently being supported to integrate your experiences with creative practices and group sharing.

Who is this workshop for:
This workshop is aimed at anyone who is curious to explore sound healing and energy work for their own personal development whilst bypassing the need for any plant-based or psychedelic stimulants to achieve expanded consciousness.
Process:
innerdance isn’t dancing as you know it. It is an eyes-closed, lying down multi-sensory journey where the dance is internal with cosmic possibilities, similar to dreaming. This is a time and space for you to rest and reset, to remember your authentic identity.
With carefully curated homemade playlists designed to harmonise the electricity and magnetism within the body, purposefully organised to stimulate brain waves with intention to cloud the linear, reductive view, the brain can experience its fuller potential as each lobe is awakened. This enables a generalised spread of electricity and return to natural flow states which re-pattern the autonomic nervous system and can bring us back to unity of bodymind, similar to that of the newborn baby where there is no separation. Intuitive touch is also offered as a stimulus to deepen and support your journey.
The process mirrors the brain’s oscillations and vibratory rhythms during REM sleep with experiences similar to lucid dreaming. You may experience imagery, emotion, sensation, release, insight, time changes, impulse to move or sound. You might also experience stuck energies such as fear that begins to flow; this is natural and is an opportunity to befriend this vital life force, resetting your body to feel more ease and freedom when heightened sensations and emotions arise, increasing your personal response-abilities.
Some people stay in their heads as their bodies dream.
Some people go on cosmic journeys and experience a shift in time perception.
Some people stay in their bodies and feel sensations.
Some people dream with pictures, sounds, feelings.
There is no wrong. We are the source of our own healing and everything we need is within us.
What to expect from this workshop:
The workshop will be held in-person at the Psychosynthesis Trust building, in a small, confidential group. Participants will:
- Be supported to arrive and awaken the body through somatic practices
- Learn briefly about the history and evolution of innerdance
- Be introduced to some key concepts
- Experience two soundscapes with different styles
- Have time for gentle and creative integration through art making and sharing
Our approach:
innerdance is an evolving synthesis of neuroscience and spirituality using sound and touch to support a blended state of consciousness. Research shows that it is within the dream state that we self-heal and through innerdance, we can reawaken our unique authenticity and resourcefulness.
Rooted in the person-centred qualities of empathy, non-judgement and congruence in an informal, confidential and welcoming space, you shall be gently supported to trust and surrender as much as feels right for you to journey inward. As your witness and therapeutic companion, I shall channel the energy of innerdance through intuitive touch, energetic dialogue, and musical instruments, entraining you deeper into your process.
Conscious integration is an essential element of this practice and through time for rest, mark making and sharing, you will return feeling renewed.
Learning outcomes:
- You will learn the history and evolution of innerdance
- You will be introduced to some of the key theories which inform innerdance practice
- You will experience two different playlists and have time to creatively integrate your experiences
- You will have time to ask any questions about your experiences and be supported to consider how you take your learning forward
