Exploring the sexual Self with curiosity, compassion, and clarity.

Join Kalvin Ryder, founder and therapist at Sexuality Space, and co-host of the Universal Music podcast What If People Find Out?, for this one day workshop supporting you in exploring, understanding, and integrating the Sexual Self as a vital and natural part of the whole personality.

Everyone has a sexual self. Most of us were never helped to meet it.

This workshop offers a gentle enquiry into meeting and allowing your Sexual Self to have a voice – exploring how shame, secrecy, and social messages shape our relationship with sex, and how the Sexual Self can become split off from identity, love, values, and meaning.

Using a Psychosynthesis framework, the workshop provides a contained and reflective space to meet sex as a human experience with curiosity and compassion, allowing clarity, understanding, and integration to emerge at your own pace.

Who Is The Event For?

  • Individuals who feel curious about sex – what it means to them, how it has shaped them, and their inner experience of it.
  • People who sense a gap or tension between sex and other parts of their life, such as identity, love, values, religion, or self-expression.
  • Therapists, counsellors, trainees, and psychologically minded people interested in deepening their understanding of the Sexual Self.
  • Those who feel functional and grounded in life, yet sense something around sex or sexuality remains unintegrated or unexplored.

Learning Outcomes

  • A clearer understanding of the Sexual Self as a subpersonality and as part of your wider inner world.
  • Insight into how early experiences, secrecy, and social messaging shape your relationship to sex and sexual identity.
  • A psychosynthesis based understanding of sexual shame, disidentification, and how these processes operate internally.
  • Practical tools for reflection, self-awareness, and ongoing personal integration.
  • Greater internal clarity, steadiness, and safety in relation to your experience of sex and sexual identity.
  • Confidence being understood as a natural outcome of awareness and integration, rather than something to be forced or performed.

What to expect?

  • Thoughtful teaching grounded in psychosynthesis.
  • Visual frameworks and music to support understanding.
  • Contained experiential reflections.
  • Optional journaling and internal dialogue exercises.
  • An open Q&A space.
  • No pressure to share personal material.

The workshop is designed to feel supportive, respectful, and psychologically safe.
