The Sand Tray (webinar)

8 November 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

£15 – £20
Book

Catherine Bishop hosts an introductory webinar to the sand tray, ahead of her in-person workshop taking place in December.

Why this webinar?

Have you wondered what working therapeutically with the sand tray might be like? In this introductory webinar, you will get a taste of what it is like to work with concrete symbols in the sand tray. You will get a sense of how the simple act of choosing and placing objects in the tray can lead to profound insights and changes and how trusting in the wisdom of the unconscious can draw us towards healing and transformation. How objects can represent both literal and archetypal realities and how as a therapist working with this approach, it is your curiosity and attentiveness, rather than your knowing, that can be the greatest ally in serving your client’s unfolding. In this online session, we will work with images, the imagination and some theoretical input. It will include examples of how working with the liminal space of the sand tray can be used to explore and address different life experiences, emotions and dilemmas.

There will be an opportunity to deepen this work in a one-day in-person workshop on 7th December. Find out more.

Who is it for?

This webinar is open to all and is highly recommended to those thinking of learning more about the sand tray at Catherine’s upcoming in-person sand tray workshop.

Our approach

Psychosynthesis as applied to psychotherapy is a unique approach that combines both psychology and spirituality. It is a holistic process that helps the individual deal with patterns of behaviours which inhibit or prevent living life in meaningful and fulfilling ways. It brings us into contact with the life journey to meaning and purpose.
