Claudia Businaro

Trainer, Supervisor

Claudia Businaro is a UKCP accredited psychotherapist. She works in private practice in London and in Wiltshire, UK, is a trainer, supervisor and study tutor at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London and teaches a module on transpersonal psychotherapy to MSc students at Warwick University.

Claudia studied group therapy at the Gestalt institute in London and trained as a supervisor. She has taught CBT and group facilitation in an addiction counselling course accredited by Bath University and has worked as family therapist and clinical supervisor for a residential addiction centre in England. Claudia also studied Cognitive Analytic Therapy at Guy’s Hospital, where she worked as a Honorary therapist for several years and has recently completed a pranayama teaching training with Dr Kausthub Desikachar.

Claudia has been interested in spirituality for over 20 years. Before doing an MA in psychosynthesis psychotherapy, she studied western philosophy in Rome University La Sapienza and completed an MA in Indian religions at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. She studied Sanskrit and Yoga philosophy in India and Nepal, and she is currently working on a doctorate on the therapeutic use of breath-work at Warwick University.
