Who we are - Counselling Service

Josephine Bey

Counselling Service Manager

Josephine is a BACP-accredited therapist with extensive experience across clinical practice, leadership, and training. Her work has spanned a range of settings, from private practice on Harley Street to work within Brixton Prison, in company with long-standing involvement in organisational and service leadership.
Alongside her clinical practice, Josephine has over a decade experience as a Clinical Director and supervisor, with responsibility for clinical governance, service development, and the support of trainees and early-career practitioners.
Josephine has a particular interest in couples therapy and intercultural counselling and she has also worked extensively with members of the Armed Forces, supporting both serving personnel and veterans.
Her therapeutic orientation is integrative, with a strong transpersonal and systemic influence. She is especially inspired by approaches that attend to the whole person and the integration of psychology, spirituality, and meaning. Josephine is passionate about creating psychologically safe, inclusive spaces that honour diversity, lived experience, and personal growth, and she values the privilege of accompanying others at important moments in their lives.
