Sonja is a psychosynthesis psychotherapist who trained at the Trust. She has many years of experience working in private practice, bereavement, and palliative care, as well as in charitable organisations such as Mind.

Sonja’s career is rooted in the field of healthcare research, which means she appreciates the power of research to bring about change, both within psychotherapy and beyond. She realises how research invites us to continually re-evaluate ourselves and our ways of working. This extends beyond the individual and into organisations.

Sonja says: “Working at the Trust continues to stimulate my passion for psychosynthesis, and I feel enthusiastic about the work I do to support students and colleagues alike. Working in the care profession, I believe we have a collective responsibility to confront the social structures that can reinforce so much of our clients’ distress”.
