Video Conversation with Thomas Yeomans on Assagioli

Thomas Yeomans Levels of Loneliness

On Roberto Assagioli’s birthday Thomas Yeomans PhD and Kim Shiller, Director of Programmes at the Trust, speak about the founding father.

Thomas Yeomans was a student under Roberto Assagioli towards the end of the psychosynthesis founder’s life. To celebrate Assagioli’s birthday he recounts his vision at the beginning of psychosynthesis, and the loneliness that sometimes pervaded his adult life until the 70s, when transpersonal psychology grew more popular in the West.

Exploring the ‘early years’ of what himself and Assagioli’s other students went on to do, Yeomans then turns to a hopeful future. He looks to the next generation who are taking on the mantle and making a psychosynthesis that, more and more, follows Assagioli’s vision.
