Willing to Love: Interview with Judith Firman and Chris Dennler

Willing to Love: Stories of the Couple's Journey as a Path of Transformation

An intimate look into relationships through the lens of psychosynthesis, Willing to Love provides a collection of honest, funny and moving insights into the work that goes into making romantic relationships work.

Willing to Love is a new and unique series of real life love stories as told by psychosynthesis therapists. Each chapter focusses on a different relationship, and shares how a couple have grown and transformed, while celebrating accomplishments and looking how they navigated more challenging times. Other topics discussed include gender, race, age and infidelity.

Trust Programmes Director Kim Shiller met with Judith Firman and Chris Dennler, two of the book’s contributors. They discuss their relationship in the chapter Saying Yes! Two Women, A Love Story. During the interview, they talk about why they decided to share their experience, their writing journey and what makes the collection an important read for people in, or wanting to be in, happy and functioning long-term relationships.

The book also features commentary from psychosynthesis authors Piero Ferrucci, Molly Brown and Thomas Yeomans to give greater insight, with an introduction written by Diane Rossman and Anne Yeomans. You can see the complete list of contributors to the book here.
